This blog will be officially opened and updated when the day I drop my feet oversea. Reasons:- to further my study and to keep my parents and friends updated with the memories that I'm willing to share.

Dilemma:
Three
consecutive months to go, and my brain is now full of questions and decisions to make.
  1. Whether to go to Scotland (University of Glasgow) or KL (University of Nottingham).
There are lots of advantages and disadvantages between them, and its really hard to decide. Glasgow cert may smell good, but its really really expensive. The person I care most in this world are my parents and I'm not willing to see them having burden in supporting my financial needs. There are not young by now , taking care of them is my duty as a son, I'm so disappointed that I can't fulfill it at this moment - but I promise, once I starts my carrier as an engineer, there life will be totally different from now.

Am i suppose to sacrifice myself going to KL, so that they can save the extra money for their needs?
It may seems stupid to them, that i think that way: The moment they bring me to this world, their dream was to protect and support me till the end, hoping to see my future to be as bright as possible, even if they have to sale their blood and fresh for the money to exchange my happiness , there are willing to do so. They believe that:
  • Studying in UK are much safer then in KL.
  • UK cert has higher percentage of finding jobs internationally
  • More valuable experience to be uncovered in UK, higher standard of living , higher salary. and many more....
Should I follow their advices and let them continue and fight for the war for this coming two years? Two more years to go. ermm. Is that really long??

By the way, regarding about the cert:- another question pop-out from my brain

  1. Whether I should work for the Brunei Government or Private Companies (eg Schlumberger)
If I work for the Brunei Government:

I have to apply for citizenship. KL have to be omitted for sure, the only choice is Scotland. High salary and easier life. Can be able to stay together with family.

If I work for the Private Companies:

The salary may be lucrative, but there will be no freedom, working condition may not be easy.

For schlumberger:
Have to go through training : it means that - learning, memorizing, another test again.. haizz
Mobile package : hard to start my own family
Active and frequent reports.. OMG

  1. Whether I should follow one of my friend to KL who seems to have no intention to care at all or to follow my other friends?
The moment I reached this part, I'm really out of words. I really hope that all of us can still stay together. Even if this is to the chinese's or to the malay's, the word "MISS" tend to escape from my mouth when each of them is not with me for more then 1 week. Deep into my heart, i care for all of you. I care for friendship, relationship and every moment we spent together.

My choice to either Glasgow or Nottingham is highly affected by one of them. To be honest , I care for him the most. You asked me why? I surely can't find a reason for that, maybe because we drop into the same fact. We can't change it, but i hope we are in the same line, so to help each other for the mean of friendship.

I can still remember , when all my friends who are involve in the twinning program agreed and decided to sponsor me for my study in UK. Each of them willing to contribute 30pd to me. When I heard that, tears keep on dropping from my eyes. I remind myself that I'm a guy while trying hard to stop my tears, but the tears keep on falling no matter what I do. It's so touching , and I'm so lucky to have those friends.. Please allow me to change my topic here, thinking back- i cried again. I wish I could save my tears, to constantly remind me of what they have done for me, I'm really disappointed with myself.

" I like to stay/stand in the rain, so that nobody noes I'm crying".......

  1. Whether to loan bank or to borrow money from relatives?
That's why I said , one of my "TAT" friend (DLP) is highly effecting my decision. I really need someone to help with my decision, and normally my decision is following my closest friend. What is going to happen to me, if I'm alone there in UK?

My answer to this is , if he loan - i will loan as well.

The disadvantages are:

If we loan bank, we have to pay more because of the interests the bank charge. "but if I can work in UK during summer break, I can cover up half of the sum. Its more or less the same as spending money studying in KL while not working.

The advantages are:

If I'm lucky enough to get a First Class Honor (A: 70-100%) i only need to pay half of the money I loan and for the Upper Second Class Honor (B) i only need to pay 75% of the money i loan. That's a good thing.

+ The money I earn during summer break will do to cover up most of the loan.

Imagine if I don't loan and I get an A or B, I will be going CRAZY (for both cases: Glasgow and Nottingham)
* If i can get a B in UBD, why not an A in Glasgow- since the grading system is lower in Glasgow.

Lastly, Is my blog going to end up interesting and fun? - it depends on where i will end up, UK or KL

It's better to follow what your heart tells ya. But for my opinion, it's better to take up your friends' offer to study in Glasgow or in Nottingham, whatever, cuz what these universities offer are much greater than that in KL and also as you said the "valuable experiences" that you can get while staying there. If your parents' are willing to send you to Glasgow/Nottingham, then take that chance cuz i believe that after those hardship and gaining that engineering degree at the end, it will really pay off if you really work hard that is. You really wanna be with your friends, right? I believe those friends of yours are your motivators and drive you to work hard to earn that degree...People who study in Glasgow/Nottingham have high demands from firms that wanna employ them so think about it. It will eventually pay off all the hardships during those years fighting for that engineering degree. This is what I think but the decision is yours to chose and do chose wisely.

wait up.
My comment:
useless.
low grading system in uk than your so called current uni? how can uk be any better in that case?
clever people need neither special place to study nor special certs.
Certs don't guarantee you success.
it's what you are.
